Performance Improvement Senior Manager – Finance (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY: Use strategic approaches to help improve and sustain business performance and achieve business objectives including conducting organizational, work simplification and measurement studies; designing systems and procedures; and preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist financial clients in operating more efficiently and effectively. Direct the delivery of assessment, transformation and process efficiency solutions in for large scale client Finance Transformation engagements. Develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, and make recommendations regarding policy formulation and other finance functions. Provide advice and solutions for finance function efficiency and effectiveness across all levels of the client’s organization in areas including financial close, management reporting and planning, budgeting processes, organization structures and processes, and policies and procedures. Effectively lead and direct teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Oversee delivery of quality client services, monitor progress, and manage risk. Generate new business opportunities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, MIS (Business Perspective), Business or related plus 8 years of related work experience (of which at least 5 years must be post-bachelor’s, progressive experience); OR a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, MIS (Business Perspective), Business or related plus 7 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have:
7 years of experience providing advisory services in the finance and other operational areas that impact the finance function including Order to Cash; Procure to Pay; Close to Report; Budgeting and Planning; and/or Shared Services/Outsourcing.
4 years of experience in project management for large-scale business transformation projects and programs including managing staff of 4 or more professionals on multiple projects; and project planning, project administration, and project billing.
3 years of experience with finance business performance management, and financial reporting and analytics.
2 years of experience in the sale of professional services including selling and delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of assessment, design, and implementation support.
2 years of demonstrated record in driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the “C” level of Fortune 500 companies (i.e. consulting services in excess of $2 million annually).
Must have a willingness and ability to travel approximately 80% of the time, to meet client needs.
