The Corporate division encompasses the core operational support for all Land OLakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, Land OLakes Foundation and Community Relations, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Government Relations.
Position Purpose:
Mid to Senior level Marketing Manager position in the Corporate Marketing Strategy Group. Position provides marketing excellence training, enterprise-wide marketing oversight, and marketing strategy consulting services internally across the enterprise. In addition, position assists with Best Talent imperative by centralizing MBA recruiting for marketing positions across the enterprise.
Responsibilities Break-Out:
Ensure marketing talent across the enterprise stays current on best practices and continues to sharpen the saw. Share new trends and best practices in new media, measurement, etc.
Provide corporate oversight to enterprise-wide marketing strategy issues such as international trademark strategy and management; master brand licensing strategy and execution across the three master brands (Indian Maiden, Purina Checkerboard, Winfield); Provide enterprise perspective on marketing policy for mobile media, social media, gTLDs, etc. Manage centralized marketing budget reporting across the enterprise.
Act as ad-hoc marketing resource for important internal projects that may require short term application of marketing strategy / voice of marketing from enterprise perspective rather than Business Unit specific perspective.
Must-Have Skill Set:
Must be well-versed in Marketing Planning Frameworks, Marketing Fundamentals, Brand Equity Management Best Practices, etc.
Must be able to manage large projects, design and create a marketing training workshop, and go into new situations across the company and help other teams by applying marketing strategy to BU or function-specific issues and problems.
Must be able to influence and direct master branding and trademark issues across the company, and set and support enterprise-wide marketing standards and processes.
Ability to engage and interact with senior level leadership on key events and initiatives
Qualifications:
Experience-Education (Required): Background in brand or product management;

Competencies-Skills (Required): Project Management, Team Communication and coordination, Delivers Results in Timely Fashion, Understand the rudiments of brand management
Experience-Education (Preferred): 1-2 Years experience as a Marketing Manager strongly preferred; CPG experience a plus
Competencies-Skills (Preferred): Understands branding fundamentals, some training background / skills helpful; good public speaking skills helpful
