Job Description
Our client is a major Operating Oil company and has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst/Business Planner.
Purpose:
To drive the Business Planning and Performance Management processes in the United States.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks:
Your primary tasks will include:
- Preparing and facilitating the monthly performance reviews for the Leadership Team, hereunder collecting and validating financial and non-financial performance metrics.
- Leading the development of the Business Performance Contract, which includes discussions with the Leadership Team where the near term goals for the organization are decided upon and appropriate KPIs and Milestones are selected.
- Creating and maintaining the Business Unit dashboard, reporting progress to corporate and providing updates for the local organization.
- Driving the business planning cycle and underlying processes, including managing the development of the local strategy document and long term financial forecast.
- Leading/participating in the continuous improvements of local processes, templates and tools.
- Driving ad-hoc tasks and projects, interacting with the Leadership Team, managers and staff across the organization.
- Building strong working relationships with other local and corporate stakeholders, hereunder the Global Business Planning & Performance Management community.
Required Education: BSc Minimum, MBA Preferred,CPA preferred
Required Experience:
- Candidate should possess 5-7 years’ relevant experience as a minimum, ideally looking for 10+ years
- The ideal candidate has a background in the upstream industry and has a proven performance record, strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills. Capital Project experience desired.
- Experience with business planning and/or performance management is preferred. You should hold a finance degree at bachelor/master level or alternatively have a technical background e.g. engineering supplemented with extensive past exposure to financial and economics disciplines.
- You must be strong on coordination, have good teamwork capabilities as well as individual drive, a passion for numbers and analysis and good interpersonal skills.
- Furthermore, you should be comfortable with meeting short deadlines and have the ability to timely deliver a quality product.
- Must have SAP experience
- Flexibility to travel as required on a quarterly basis
