MAJOR FUNCTION:     Insure inventory control and supervise warehouse area. 
DEPARTMENT:   Warehouse            
TITLE OF SUPERVISOR:   Logistics Manager
               

PURPOSE & REASON POSITION EXISTS  AND MAGNITUDE OF BUSINESS OPERATION AFFECTED.  USE QUANTITATIVE SCOPE    
MEASURES SUCH AS VOLUME OF SALES, PURCHASES, ASSETS ACCOUNTABLE FOR, ETC.
•    To insure inventory control and supervise warehouse area.
 
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:                
• Insure inventory control and supervise warehouse area.
• Proofread daily receivers and issues to insure accurate inventory in warehouse.
• Issue materials out to respective departments.
• Insure there are enough parts and supplies in inventory.
• Supervise all warehouse personnel.
• Fill out all employee payroll paperwork.
• Responsible for all activities within the warehouse area.
• Daily work tasks are structured unless emergency supply shortages arise.
• Job performance is measured by the Purchasing Manager on such criteria as if the warehouse has enough parts, other departments input on how well the warehouse is running and how well parts are issued.
• Run and give input at weekly group meetings in the warehouse department.
• Directly involved in interviewing and hiring warehouse personnel.
• Responsible for training all new hires in the warehouse.
• Evaluate all warehouse personnel on an annual basis.
• Responsible for all disciplinary procedures in warehouse area.  These procedures may range from verbal warnings to termination’s.


WORKING CONDITIONS:            
• Physical demands of this position include a great deal of walking.
•             Potential hazards in work area may include assorted chemicals, forklifts and assorted staircases.
•             Temperature in warehouse depends directly on the outside temperature.
•             Employee will typically work 45 hours per week M-F with some Saturday work if necessary.


REQUIREMENTS:                           
EDUCATION:    
•             Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent.
•             College experience is beneficial to learn computer and organizational skills.
