Chemonics seeks a financial system project manager to oversee our IT enterprise level financial system projects. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
Define and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, resources, and risks
Proactively manage projects to ensure timely deliverables within budget
Gather user requirements and manage client expectations
Prepare detailed design and requirements documentation
Nurture clear communication with project staff and clients
Work effectively with project staff and clients and ensure that appropriate parties are involved and engaged to achieve project goals
Conduct periodic project status meetings with project staff and clients
Provide reports to project sponsors and senior management
Champion project management best practices
Participate in IT organizational process improvement initiatives
Partner with business and IT leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to benefit the company
Participate in identifying problems and suggesting solutions that the IT organization can implement
Promote maturity, dependability, integrity, and initiative at all levels within the company
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required
Minimum four years of IT project management experience planning and implementing financial management information systems
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions required
Experience in finance business process reengineering required
Solid requirement analysis and management skills required
Data analysis and database design experience required
Knowledge of web application development principles and techniques required
Understanding of information systems, business processes, and the key drivers and measures of success for the business
Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
Ability to operate at advanced levels of authority and manage significant activities and resources to produce and take responsibility for results
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Capacity to manage and supervise staff and special initiatives
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
U.S. work authorization required
