Maintenance Supervisor - Red Wing, MNThis is a full time, exempt level position.
 
Job Description:
Responsible for the overall maintenance activities in the Red Wing oilseeds facility
Train/supervise staff to ensure that facility has a safe and reliable cost efficient maintenance program
Take a hands-on, active role in maintenance activities and managing the department and employee performance
Delegate work orders and follow up to ensure work is being completed in a timely manner
Prioritize and schedule the workload from a to-do list in conjunction with work orders
Order parts as needed for maintenance needs
Schedule starting times and/or overtime and authorize vacation and periods working through lunches
Maintain the Preventative Maintenance program as per Grain Handling program to establish and/or maintain appropriate preventative maintenance for efficient operation of the plant
Supervise the roles of Direct Oiler and Fire Chief as needed
Sign and collect weekly time sheets and ensure maintenance team completes weekly
Establish expectations for safety, reliability, quality, service and productivity.
Maintain cleanliness of the shop ensuring that tools, materials, etc. are picked up daily

Requirements:
Mechanical Engineer Desired
Background in development of preventive maintenance programs, management of employees, equipment scheduling and control systems
Strong trouble shooting abilities are critical with strong industrial maintenance background needed
Demonstrated safety record/involvement
Mechanical experience and preferably experience in the instrumentation and electrical fields.
Must be computer literate and detail oriented.
Must be able to work independently, and make necessary recommendations to fellow management as needed
