Title:  Poultry/Swine Sales Representative – (80% Poultry - Turkey & Layer, 20% Swine)

Location: West of Mississippi River – primary Poultry emphasis in AR, IA, MN, MO, with secondary emphasis in AZ, CA, KS, LA, MT, NE, NM, TX, UT, WA, WI.  Swine emphasis would be primarily concentrated in MN.

Position to which this role reports: Sedona District Sales Manager

Qualifications: Bachelor Degree or higher preferably in Animal Science, Ag Economics, Ag Marketing or Ag Communication.  Ideal candidates preferred with 5+ years experience in the Poultry Industry, specifically the Turkey or Layer market as well as 5+ years of sales experience in a relevant ag related field.  Swine experience a plus.

Other Requirements:
understanding of the Poultry and Swine industry; ability to network with producers and industry professionals; selling and communication skills; time and territory management; leadership and problem solving skills; self-motivation.

Travel:  Up to 40% depending upon geography, and depending on place of residence; travel will be higher during new hire training.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The main purpose of the sales representative is to create demand and provide continuous support of the Turkey and Layer markets in the Poultry industry, as well as the Swine industry.  This individual will also be responsible for utilizing their sales and industry experience to maintain and enhance customer relationships to drive customer value with our client’s portfolio. The employee will be held accountable for delivering sales results and implementing agreed upon strategies by doing the following:

                -Manage assigned territory for growth

                -Utilizing effective time and territory management

                -Identify and manage appropriate resources to support sales and customer service.

                -Develop and maintain an annual territory business plan

                -Timely completion of required reporting: expense reports, contact records in client system, etc.

                -Actively participates in meetings and continuously strives to learn
