As Software Architect you will be responsible for architecting and integrating a software solution for GE Aviation's Vehicle Health and Data Management product line as part of an Agile team. Essential Responsibilities: In addition, in this role you will:
Be responsible for software architecture of ground-based software to support aircraft systems
Create software architecture and communicate it succinctly to the team
Coordinate architecture with other software/systems teams
Select appropriate technologies and design patterns to support system functional and non-functional requirements
Ensure team creates high quality software using test-driven development (TDD) practices
Provide guidance to and mentor other software engineers Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering development
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading an engineering team

Lean Six Sigma Certification and a desire to continually improve software development productivity (GE Employees Only)
Commercial experience developing SOA based software
Experience as an Agile Scrum Master
Demonstrated ability to lead in a distributed team environment
Experience architecting software in support of safety critical applications
Experience architecting web-client user interfaces using MVC frameworks
