Prestigious large Retail Firm seeks an experienced IT Project Manager with retail industry experience.

Purpose:

Provide project based direction to IT and business teams engaged to deliver projects that have been approved and are part of the overall portfolio strategy. Serve as the primary point of contact for IT and business team members. Lead project to team to deliver the solution by following standard project management methodologies (SDLC, PMI) including but not limited to resource planning, communication, budget management, and reporting.

Core Accountabilities:

•     Manage project execution of complex projects, project schedules, resource allocation, reporting variances along with planned corrective action
•     Execute projects in alignment with long term business strategies; delivered on time, and within budget
•     Follow standard processes for change management, risk management, issues management, quality assurance and project communications
•     Lead and facilitate project planning in defining project deliverables, milestones, resources and schedules, level of effort and budget
•     Publish timely and accurate reports on project status to key stakeholders
•     Provide project leadership to project team, achieving results through others and cross functionally
•     Drives changes and takes ownership of Project Management methodologies. Develops materials for IT Steering Committee
•     Evaluate and identify opportunities for business improvement applying strategic technical solutions
•     Manage vendor relationships and evaluate alternative options to ensure quality in the delivery of services

Education/Experience Required:
    4 year College Degree
    PMI Certified
    8 years of progressive project management experience
    Experience working in IT for a specialty retailer preferred
