Farmers Cooperative is seeking someone to monitor the inventory, position, and condition of the grain to gain market value for the company. This person will also lead other employees to accomplish the goals of the location and FC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1.     Hire, motivate, and lead hourly employees with manager assistance.
  2.     Cross train location employees to work in the grain department.
  3.     Provide seasonal support to location operations.
  4.     Manage the condition of grain to maximize FCs profitability.
  5.     Coordinate outbound loading and positioning of grain for both rail (if applicable) and trucks.
  6.     Communicate daily activities, needs, & accomplishments with Location Manager and employees.
  7.     Perform general housekeeping in the elevator.
  8.     Provide assistance on facility improvement planning and capital expenditures with Location Manager.
  9.     Coordinate and monitor outside contractors and follow up with documentation.
  10.     Establish and implement operational goals.
  11.     Manage grain inventory & position grain in facility to maximize marketing value.
  12.     Coordinate inbound grain receiving activities and segregation of grain.
  13.     Ensure safety compliance.
  14.     Understand and practice all FCs Policies, procedures, and Quality Management System.
  15.     Communication with truck houses in relationship to truck house grain position, quality concerns and other quality issues.
  16.     Know and perform office procedures in the absence of counter person.
  17.     Manage preventive maintenance activities and record on the computer.
  18.     Communicate when train is arriving and have staff ready to load train if at a rail facility.
  19.     Provide courteous customer service.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
or one to three months related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
