Job Description
SUMMARY
Will maintain, manage and grow an established sales territory, while driving growth sales through new account development. Will sell bulk liquid chemicals to large end-users. Will be responsible for negotiating long term contracts. Territory will be a 200 mile radius around Atlanta. Target markets include: Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Food Processing, Utility, University, General Manufacturing, Foundry, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Steel, Automotive, and Metal Processing to name a few.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop, manage and drive growth opportunity pipeline
2. Secure new business opportunities with existing customer base and new customers/ applications
3. Execute pricing, product portfolio and channel management optimization strategies
4. Interface with technical and manufacturing personnel to coordinate new business opportunities and product optimization strategies
5. Actively support strategy development process through an assessment of market/customer needs for new products and complementary product offerings
6. Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.
7. Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
8. Fully supports Company goals
9. Any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a 4 year degree, technical degree could be an asset. Must have 5 years of recent Chemical or Heavy Industrial Sales experience. Looking for a "Hunter" type. Must have strong closing, customer relationship, negotiation and organizational skills. Should have experience calling on like industries as mentioned above in the Atlanta area. Proven experience meeting or exceeding sales goals. Demonstrated prospecting skills. Management of large accounts, selling at high levels within organizations. Ability to effectively negotiate new business agreements /contracts. Self-starter, self-motivating, Strong problem solving skills. Team Player. Experience with Fortune 500 level company culture would be helpful.
