PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Ensures that IMS supported applications are designed and tested and implemented in a manner to meet end user needs.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHP
Supervises, leads and develops the Energy P.O.S. Applications Manager and the P.O.S. Applications Associates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides leadership, training and assistance to member cooperative and retail division management and users of IMS Energy business software applications, including other IMS Application Staff and select GROWMARK employees.
Responsible for the implementation of supported IMS Energy business software applications.
Ensures that project management plans for the implementation of new or revised Energy software applications are in place, adhered to, and completed as scheduled.
Consults with existing and potential users on-site to determine their specific business needs and utilizes thorough, detailed technical and functional knowledge of all IMS supported technologies (wEBS, FBS (Fuel Billing Solution), RBS (Retail Business Solution), Retail Fuel, Web Services and integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP) to determine the specific software applications, modifications, customizations, and enhancements necessary to meet those needs. Also assists in coordination with all grain software.
Prioritizes program maintenance, potential enhancements and coordinates programmer resources with Systems and Programming and Third-Party software vendors to assure their applications meet end user needs.
Serves as liaison with Energy Division to maximize the integration of information systems and technology for member cooperatives.
Serves as liaison with the IT Service Desk to qualify recommended/supported hardware for end users.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in the preparation of the IMS budget.
Assists in the evaluation of new software and services to be offered to end users.
Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a college degree in information systems, accounting, business or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide IMS software design and testing leadership to the GROWMARK System.
Ability to attain and maintain Microsoft Certified Professional Status.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.
Understanding and experience with computer services-related areas including computer systems design, testing, and recommendations, integration, technical support and training, resource management, inventory management, financial statement analysis, policies, procedures and compliance.
Understanding and experience in accounting and agri-business.
Proven supervisory and leadership skills including staffing, coaching, performance evaluation, etc., and the ability to achieve results through others.
Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, presentation and customer service skills.
Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, and project management skills and the ability to read and interpret technical material.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
