Position Purpose:
Forage Genetics International, a Land OLakes company, is the world's larger developer, seed producer and marketer of top-quality alfalfa varieties. A seed production field representative's duty is critical conduint between FGI and producers of alfalfa seed. Duties include servicing existing customers, contracting of seed production acres, providing agronomic assistance to growers, coordinate seed harvest and shipping of field run seed to designated processing facilities, some new business development.

Qualifications:
Experience-Education (Required):
Farming background or experince in Ag related job for 3 years; must posses / be willing to obtain an Agriculture Consultant license or equivalent.

Competencies-Skills (Required):
Person must posses excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, conflict management skills, be a self starter, punctual and have good organization skills. Must be able to carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Person must have a broad understanding of typical farming practices.

Experience-Education (Preferred):
College degree or at least five years of experience in seed industry (seed production management or related position).
