Our client is a US based company and is a leading supplier of nutritional products designed to improve crop productivity and quality. They are committed to promoting a safer, healthier environment through their product line and have built the business in over 20 countries. We are looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager to oversee all the US operations and focus on establishing a better strategy for the territory

Key Requirements for the Business Development Manager:

    10-15 years' experience in sales/market development management
    Agriculture background and experience in setting up and managing distribution channels
    Bachelors and/or MS preferred, but solid, proven experience will be key
    Must be able to travel extensively the first couple years (50% or more)

The successful candidate must have the following competencies for the position of Business Development Manager:

    Extraordinary proficiency in strategic business development, networking, key account sales and management and achieving market growth
    A working knowledge of agronomic systems, practices, applications and the supporting technologies behind them
    Demonstrated capability to engender confidence in others regarding the company's products, services and supporting technologies
    Superior program and project planning and management skills
    Strong business communications (oral and written) and leadership skills
    An inherent bias for action and achievement of challenging results, with the clear ability to initiate and sustain high levels of independent activity
