Role Purpose/Accountabilities:
Role purpose:
As a member of the North America (NA) Compensation & Benefits Center of Excellence (CoE) team, responsible for proactive development and delivery of competitive compensation and benefits programs in the region that align with global principles and company goals.

Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the strategy and direction of the Global and Region C&B function and serve as a point of contact and C&B subject matter expert for designated NA functions.
- Proactively support the Region C&B Head with the design/development/implementation and ef-fective monitoring of specific compensation, sales incentive and benefits solutions, programs, policies and processes to support current and future business strategy in line with Syngenta C&B philosophy and managed within the organization's financial plan.
- Provide leadership, advice and support to line management, to HR Business Partners (BPs) and HR Shared Business Service (SBS) to adapt global and regional reward programs and to ensure consistent and equitable implementation of programs that comply with local statutory require-ments and market practice.
- Ensure awareness, understanding, compliance and administrative implementation of the Com-pany's Reward philosophy and principles.
- Provide internal consulting to HR BPs and line management on complex reward issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels according to global, regional and local C&B policies and procedures.
- Effectively partner with region HR, HR SBS and the business to manage and consult C&B-related issues. Improve HR and managements understanding of Syngenta reward programs and how they can be used to drive business performance and motivate employees.
- Guide and transfer knowledge to local HR SBS team in the execution of C&B program and proc-ess (i.e. compensation review process, management of bonus and salary budget spend, estab-lishment of salary structures, benefits administration).
- Contribute to influencing compensation & benefit content design and global reward processes by representing business and regional perspective/needs.
- Perform ad hoc analysis for costing, C&B program effectiveness and trend purposes
- Identify, select and participate in C&B surveys for the region to analyze the company's competi-tive market position for each country.
- Conduct job matching, job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation.
- Work closely with HR SBS to support continuous improvement and facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of all C&B processes.
- Keep abreast of the latest market intelligence, market trends and best practices in C&B and make recommendations on changes to C&B programs to ensure Syngenta's plans are competitive.
- Act as an ambassador of the Syngenta purpose, values, frameworks EVP and brand, establish-ing an environment and way of working that will bring these to life within Syngenta.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Knowledge, experience & capabilities:
- Experience with analyzing compensation & benefit plans; developing and implementing plan design changes.
- Excellent organization, follow-up and analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze, organize and present data to Management.
- Excellent project management skills.
Critical knowledge: :
- Knows and understands leading edge C&B trends in NA. Knowledgeable on current legislation impacting pay/benefit programs.
- Design/consulting/policy development of reward elements.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Masters, MBA, or C&B relevant certifications are helpful.
Critical experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years in compensation (including design and delivery of base pay, variable compensation) and 5-10 years in benefits (preferably Health & Welfare), including at least 2 years in project management. Retirement benefits (401(k), pension plans) experience also beneficial.
- Experience in an international environment; has operated/managed effectively across geographies, cultures and organizational boundaries.
- Prior experience with C&B due diligence and integrations for M&A transactions is helpful.
