Description:

Based out of our corporate office in Richmond, VA, you will manage retail inventory at company owned Retail Stores and participating Managed Coops.  You will maintain in stock inventory for Farm Supply, Animal Health, Vegetable Seed & Grass Seed, and other products as identified.  You will monitor seasonal inventory to maximize sales and margins with minimal carryover.

    Monitor Manhattan performance to ensure in stock service levels are achieved based on A - F sku rankings.
    Develop and monitor demand forecasts. Adjust forecasts, demand profiles and system settings as needed to optimize forecast accuracy.
    Collaborate with Buyers and Wholesale Inventory Control Managers to forecast every day, promotional and seasonal inventory needs.
    Assist Buyers and Store Planning with seasonal item set ups and schedules.  Coordinate inventory at Wholesale and Retail based on geographical seasonal patterns.
    Develop and implement plans to ensure optimal inventory levels to support corporate and local promotions.  Utilize store traits, historical data and Buyer input. 
    Analyze and provide the best methods of replenishment (Distribution Center and/or Direct Order) for items or lines of merchandise to maximize sales, margins and inventory turns.
    Identify, track and make performance improvement recommendations to address slow moving, excess and discontinued inventory.
    Initiate and monitor maintenance to ensure stores' item files are correct and in sync with Manhattan. Monitored data elements to include: stock type, sku linkage, replenishment flag, presentation minimums, start stop dates, and sourcing method, etc.
    Monitor and update Manhattan with changes in Vendor lead times, order minimums, freight minimums and terms in coordination with the Buyer and Wholesale Inventory teams.
    Collaborate with Buyers, Store Planning and Operations to ensure timely execution of updated and seasonal planograms.

        Four-year degree in Inventory or Supply Chain Management preferred. Combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
        Minimum of two to five years of wholesale and retail replenishment experience.
        Strong aptitude for wholesale retail inventory forecasting and replenishment.
        Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access for data analysis and trend identification.
        Strong oral and written communication skills.
        Deadline and detail oriented.
        Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
