Eligibility requirements
Background Information:
New for 2013 The WA Women's Society of Fine Arts and Crafts Equity Scholarship will be offered to an ECU female student who is commencing her 2nd year of a Bachelor of Arts degree course, majoring in Visual Arts or Contemporary Fashion and Textiles OR commencing her 2nd semester of a Master of Arts (Visual Arts) by Coursework OR 2nd semester of a Master of Communications by Research. The scholarship which will open annually was established to assist and encourage female students studying majors in Visual Art and/or Contemporary Fashion experiencing financial hardship and limited educational opportunities.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must:
    Be female students
    have successfully completed one (1) year / first year of her full time study (120 credit points) in an Undergraduate Bachelor degree of Arts (majoring in visual arts or fashion textiles OR successfully completed one (1) semester of her full time study (60 credit points) in either a Master of Arts (Visual Arts) by Coursework or Master of Communications by Research
    And
    be enrolled /enrolling into the second (2nd yr) or her Undergraduate course OR second (2nd semester) of her Master course
    be enrolled in full time units (60 credit points)
    not be in receipt of any other major scholarships

    Australian citizen
    Australian permanent resident visa
Level of study:
    UG - Undergraduate bachelor courses
    PG - Postgraduate coursework and postgraduate research
Year of study:
    2nd year for undergraduate course
    1st year for master course
Faculty:    Education and Arts
School:    School of Communications and Arts
Study mode:
    Full-time on-campus
    Full-time off-campus
Applicant information:
Applicants will be required to provide a personal written statement of no more than one side of an A4 page as part of their application which describes in brief the following:
1.           financial circumstances
2.           information on your education thus far
3.           An explanation of reasons for undertaking your chosen course of study
4.           An explanation of how this scholarship would benefit you
5.           An indication of any special circumstances that apply to you or any additional information that you feel is relevant to this application

The selection of recipients will be based on the content of their application and the information provided in statement.
