Job Description:

POSITION:  Truck Technician
DIVISION:  JBS Carriers
LOCATION:   Hyrum, UT
SALARY CLASS:    Hourly


QUALIFICATIONS:          
    Must have at least five (5) experience as a Class 8 Tractor Technician or have adequate trade school training and experience;
    Must have a Commercial Driving License (CDL) or capable of acquiring a CDL within six months of date of hire;
    Must be a team player, hard worker, reliable and ability to work flexible schedules;
    Must have brake certification and have all qualifications to perform DOT inspections;
    Must have adequate tools to perform duties assigned;
    Must be familiar with VRMS codes; 
    Must have adequate computer skills to perform duties assigned;
    Other duties assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:        
    Repair and maintain all systems of a Class 8 Tractor;
    On call at any given time;
    Perform DOT inspections;
    Replace clutches, brakes and tires as necessary;
    Perform electrical diagnosis;
    Test drive equipment and perform drivability tests;
    Transfer tractors to dealers for maintenance warranty issues;
    Diagnose engine problems and repair as needed;
    Communicate with drivers to address maintenance issues;
    Perform preventative maintenance;
    Perform diagnosis with Cummins Insite and Power Spec on ISX engines.
