External Description: RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
1. Terminals Leadership
• Create inventory of all terminal operations and relevant measures.
• Deliver versus KPI's: Volume, Variable Cost, Fixed cost, Working Capital.
• Develop and implement budgets and CAPEX plans.
• Integrate corporate and regional initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance via direct control for operated assets and via contract and audit for non-LNA operated terminals.
• Drive Integration with all Functions by funneling/translate all functional requests to terminals and ensure alignment with leadership direction.
2. Coordinate with Sales and Logistics
• Maintain daily communication with Sales/Logistics.
• Reconcile issues with terminals.
• Coordinate and communicate outages/issues with Sales.
• Continually look for business improvement opportunities.
• Develop plans to implement projects in compliance with schedule, budget, regulatory, and strategic components.
• Proactively use competency center's to drive improved performance at Terminals.
3. Managing and Leading Staff
• Implement processes, systems, new technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the customer service and shipping functions.
• Direct and supervise the terminal employees. This includes adjusting staffing levels, revising performance standards, employee selection/hiring, utilizing progressive discipline, employee development, etc.
• Complete training/certification and information sharing to ensure competency in the teams' roles and decision-making capabilities.
• Develop and monitor individual/team performance against agreed upon performance standards to ensure the team is productive and effective in their tasks.
• Drive employee safety performance to meet company/regulatory requirements and to ensure injury goals are achieved.
• Drive employee environmental performance and ensure all permit/regulatory requirements are met.
