Position Description:
Aesculap is seeking an Process Improvement Leader for contract to hire that will be responsible for development of business strategies/plans, translates the business strategy into strategic and tactical plans, and drives implementation through the entire value chain. The Process Improvement Leader is accountable to the business for all aspects of operational performance (including service/quality, cost-to-serve, working capital etc). Process Improvement Leader drives continuous improvement to capabilities and performance for the business.
Position Responsibilities:
• Identifies improvement opportunities and performance gaps and defines the value proposition for the business.
• Initiates analysis/modeling required to evaluate alternative supply chain designs and/or to modify supply chain capabilities/networks to meet the business strategy.
• Develops project charters for business-specific improvement projects, including definition of scope/boundaries, value proposition, objectives/deliverables, and timeline for completion.
• Determines the relative priority of projects within the business. Advocates on behalf of the business when projects are prioritized across multiple businesses.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to secure resources for project execution.
• Monitors project execution, approves final recommendations prior to implementation, and confirms delivery of results to the business.
• Leads and participates in improvement initiatives and cross-business projects.
• Defines business rules/boundaries and relevant performance metrics/targets for the business (e.g., on-time delivery, total cost-to-serve, transportation etc.).
• Resolves issues or exceptions outside these rules/boundaries and intervenes when needed to address performance gaps.
• Collaborates with business commercial management to define transactional service standards for the business.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Logistics or Engineering. A minimum of 7-10 years total work experience is required. Experience working in Materials Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering preffered. Project management experience is required. PMI or APICS certification preferred. Knowledge of ERP planning tools (i.e. SAP-PP, MM, WM modules) is required along with Supply/Demand Planning experience with strong analytics. Must have excellent communication skills. The ability to partner interdependently with cross-functional leadership and influence decision-making across multiple functional organizations and levels is required. Must possess a demonstrated ability to manage complexity. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to create, cultivate and implement change, are a must. Knowledge of Lean material flow, planning and scheduling preferred. Six Sigma/Process Excellence training and/or certification is preferred. Relocation assistance is not offered and permanent residence status required.
