PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position is responsible for the operation efficiencies implemented in truck loading and unloading, providing warehouse staff direction, supervisory skills. This person will perform duties that maximize the operating efficiency at the location and profitability of the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for accurate bill of ladings, and plant transfers
- Being able to check products against bill of ladings and purchase orders
- Working with Bulk Seed
- Responsible for seed inventory
- Responsible for warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping
- Maintains positive customer relations
- Actions and personal appearance project a favorable image of the company
- Utilizes best management practices for inventory control
- Responsible for the safe and efficient use of material and machines
- Maintains equipment, facilities and other company assets in a safe, neat and professional manner
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Ability to answer the phone and greet walk-in customers with a customer friendly attitude
Performs all other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or equivalent; and 0-2 years of related farming work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate industry knowledge, computer proficiency, problem solving skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet seasonal demands.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
