The Communications Manager Sr provides leadership and oversight of marketing communications strategies and programs to ensure the BASF Crop Protection Division value proposition is clearly articulated and demonstrated to customers across North America.
The group manager directs the Crop Communications team, which manages the BASF Crop Protection Division brands and associated marketing communications programs.  Reporting to  the North America Director of Communications, the group manager will interface with key management within the Crop Protection business group in RTP and Canada, demonstrating value to the business by recommending strategic measures across product categories, develop and initiate positioning programs, and ensuring successful outcomes.
The group manager will supervise the relationship with and periodic evaluation of advertising and PR agency consultants as well as the fulfillment company.  Additionally, the group manager will contribute to communications programs that support BASF APN goals as assigned by the Communications Director.

Required:
BA or BS degree in marketing, communications, journalism, PR, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience supervising a team of marketing communications professionals.
Minimum 15 years of experience in B2B and/or B2C marketing communications, inclusive of a combination of media relations, advertising, direct mail, digital marketing, collateral, and fulfillment.
Proven track record of succeeding in a matrixed team environment, inspiring teams, consensus building.
Proven ability of managing and tracking budgets, forecasting and ROI measures.
Demonstrated successful program outcomes.

Preferred:
Demonstrated success in one or more of these fields is a strong plus: production agriculture and/or crop protection or similarly regulated field.
