Within Monsanto's US Supply Chain Organization, the Data Governance Manager will be responsible for the following:


Provide oversight, direction, and facilitation for the Core Data Governance program ?? a cross-functional network of business analysts, reporting analysts, and business data stewards.

Responsible for customer and product master data quality ?? both accuracy and timeliness ?? for the US Row Crops business.

Ownership of customer and product master data quality metrics, audits, and key indicators.

Drive best practice process improvements based on investigation/analysis and solicited feedback, including updates to business data definitions, governance policy, and data quality metrics.

Independently conduct research needed to accurately establish customer master data records and resolve issues.

Proactively create and lead cross training for team members and other related groups and functions.

Ability to manage small projects within and outside the team.

Key Business Metrics:  timeliness and accuracy of core master data to support operational excellence ? understanding and adoption of governance process.


Qualifications:
Required:

3+ years of Data Management or Data Governance experience, or equivalent in related field

Demonstrated leadership ability

Ability to work in a cross-functional, team-based environment.

Attention to detail, diligence, and focus on a combination of quality and productivity

Basic understanding of key business processes (credit, sales reporting, order-to-cash) and supporting information systems/databases

Problem-solving skills

Strong technical aptitude

Communication/people skills

Preferred:

System skills ?? SAP, SalesForce.com, MDM platforms/technologies, Microsoft Office, web-based technologies/applications
