CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology division.  We are seeking an IT Development/Support Manager. You must be a strong leader with excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, be analytical and results oriented with a strong commitment to quality and standards.

You will:
Provide leadership to the development and support team, ensuring requests are routed appropriately and resolved.
Ensure all established processes are being followed from design, build, implementation, and support.
Suggests improvements to systems and workflows; document and communicate changes to standards.
Provide training, measurements, and documentation of support processes.
Identify areas where proactive measures can be taken to eliminate and reduce application support calls.
Review initiatives to determine approach and impact to systems.
Ensure the consistent use of a development framework, methodology and application systems development processes.?
Adhere to CHS policies and standards related to SOX, PCI, and Data privacy.
Review open work requests and align development resources for project, enhancement, maintenance, and break/fix activities.
Partner with other IT departments to optimize environment for best system performance, scalability, and availability.
Perform development and support activities as needed.  Provide technical leadership to other members of the development team.
Recruit, interview, hire, train, develop and conduct annual reviews of direct report staff members.
Manage departmental budget
Create a platform strategy and roadmap for 1 – 3 years; plan, prep and execute platform upgrades; meet with external resources to obtain roadmap information
Monitor industry trends and best practices to improve capabilities.


Bachelor degree plus 10 years IT experience; OR Two year degree plus 14 years IT experience
10 years of IT experience to include:
5 years of development management experience, managing direct report staff
Proven track record of leadership roles, in addition to management experience
Working knowledge of all phases of a development life cycle
Demonstrated capabilities in managing the development solutions
Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Experience with at least one of the following solutions:
Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, Biztalk, Mobile, Business Intelligence, Series I (AS400) Development technologies, Aldon CMS, ROBOT, JD Edwards E1, JD Edwards World, MAPICS
Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems
