ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Work Duties for Line Operator Activities:

Responsible for packaging of sugar, including machine operations, proper coding, case packaging, palletizing, quality checks, SPC weighing/charting and sanitation procedures.
Ensures all packages are produced to meet quality assurance checks and the associated documentation is correctly completed as instructed.
Ensures sufficient packaging materials are on hand to ensure no interruption in production.
Removes and disposes of trash properly.
Removes spilt or rejected product and recycles in appropriate methods.
Understands and complies with all current GMP, safety rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as required.
Works overtime as needed.

Work Duties for Cleaner Activities:

Required to clean floors, walls, and equipment in Weibul bins, concrete silos, bulk loading and sugar conveying equipment.

Use knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices as they apply to storage of food product in performance of all duties.

Assist in changing of dust collector filters, mechanical repairs and other such work as needed to keep the sugar storage and conveying systems in working condition.

Performs other duties as required.

Works overtime as needed.

Work Duties for Bulk Sugar Loader Activities:

Responsible for the safe and sanitary loading of sugar into rail cars, including inspecting rail cars to ensure cars meet the quality standards necessary to transport Company products.

Coordinates the positioning and moving of rail cars between sugar, molasses and pellet loading.

Accurately completes SAP bulk loading related computer entries.

Continuously monitors and ensures cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of Weibul bins, concrete silos and sugar loading to ensure product integrity. Moving sugar out of the bottom of silos and elevator areas can be strenuous.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Works overtime as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.

And, individuals are required to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test and Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge.

Inspection and Measurement 60% (orrect)
Process Monitoring & Problem Solving 58% (orrect)
Pre-hire Mechanical Aptitude Test: 64% (correct)
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
Must be able to perform basic math.
Must be able to operate packaging and associated line equipment in an effective manner.
Must understand and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety rules applicable to the packaging and warehousing areas.
Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
Must be able to reference, read and understand how to use MSDS information.
Able to maintain good personal hygiene habits in accordance within GMP guidelines.
Able to understand and perform basic safety functions in regards to lockout/tagout and confined space for Cleaner positions.
Individuals are required to submit to and successfully pass a Safety Screen that evaluates their ability to safely execute the duties and tasks defined by the Cleaner and Bulk Sugar Loader positions.

Knowledge of computer systems with a good working knowledge of the entire bulk loading computer entry procedures is required for the Bulk Sugar Loader and Forklift positions.

Bulk Sugar Loading position requires familiarity with and responsible for all equipment and machinery in Weibul bins, sugar and molasses loading.
This includes bin loading and unloading equipment, screening and weighing equipment, dust collection system, locomotive, trackmobile and forklift.

Bulk Sugar Loading position is responsible for the safe and sanitary loading of sugar into rail cars. This includes inspecting rail cars to ensure they meet quality standards necessary to transport Company products. Must understand and be able to coordinate positioning and moving of rail cars between sugar, molasses, and pellet loading.

May be required to become certified and safely operate a forklift and other rail car moving equipment.
