Location: Lincoln, NE Soybean Processing Plant This is a full time, exempt position.
Progression within the Company to higher paid positions is available
Experience Required: 3-5 years of power plant employment or relevant supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, military training in boiler operations, and 2 year degree in engineering or relevant power plant operations. Must have experience directing hourly and contract work forces.
Hours per week: Salaried
Shift: Weekdays, Occasional shift, weekends, and holiday work required

Supervisor applicants must have the aptitude and skill set necessary to perform mechanical system troubleshooting, solve process problems, resolve conflict, complete reports, and influence safe work practices upon fellow employees. Applicants must be willing to train and direct hourly and contract employees. New hires placed directly into the Supervisor position, must learn and qualify for the hourly Utility and Operators positions within 18 months.
Key roles:
Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, and ADM health and safety work practices.
Supervise and direct high pressure boiler and turbine operations including maintenance scheduling.
Water treatment and lab analysis maintenance and oversight.
Create production and safety reports using Microsoft Office.
Supervise Maintenance and Contract work forces including the issuing of all applicable safety and work permits.
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on Co-Gen equipment and auxiliaries.
Perform Lockouts on complex mechanical systems.
Train and direct employees on applicable safety, environmental, and technical subject matters.
Occasionally perform receiving and material handling duties including coal/chemicals/ash/materials.
Job Qualifications:
Applicant must possess math, science, and problem solving skills. Applicant must be able to work in all types of climates both inside and out including extreme hot and cold temperatures, noisy environments, heights, dusty environments, all of which require use of Personal Protective Equipment. Applicant must be able to sit or stand for long periods, have good physical dexterity; i.e., bend, kneel, climb steps and ladders, work in confined Spaces, and lift 50 Lbs. With training, the applicant must be able to operate heavy equipment including overhead cranes, payloaders, forklifts, and skidsteers. Attendance and punctuality is required. All employees are subject to random drug screens Applicant must have the ability to direct others, make timely decisions, complete safety and work permits, and perform lockouts on equipment. Previous supervisory experience and a strong technical background a plus.
