Position Purpose

Position is instrumental in ensuring delivery of engineering / technical services to the Dairy Foods manufacturing facilities.

Responsible for conducting engineering assessments, cost estimates, design requirements and execution of capital projects in excess of $1MM. This individual will work closely with plant management / corporate functions on development of project scope, process design, capital and expense estimates, contractor / vendor selection, equipment specifications and purchases, implementation timeline and coordination of execution plans. Responsible for planning and execution of capital projects in excess of $1MM.
Qualifications:

Experience-Education Required

We are seeking a 4-year degree as a mechanical, chemical, civil, industrial engineer and/or dairy science major with engineering experience.

Seeking a minimum of 5 years engineering / project management experience in manufacturing - preferably food/dairy industry; solid understanding of manufacturing processes, utilities, facilities construction. Prepare process designs, equipment specifications and capital estimates for process upgrades, modifications to existing systems and installation / commissioning of new assets. Provide methods, equipment recommendations and standard operating practices to optimize processes and meet product specifications.

Facilitate training as necessary. Conduct plant assessments to identify asset deficiencies; execute corrective action as required. Work with plant management / corporate functions on project planning involving business growth / innovation, quality improvement, safety, etc. Job requires solid technical knowledge and skills along with project planning capability. The ideal person will remain current on existing and emerging technical advances of equipment, facilities and process controls.
