Tenable Network Security is looking for a Sales Engineer for the West North America region. This position works day to day with the Regional Sales Manager and reports directly into the Director of Sales Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver technical presentations and demos of Tenable Security Center
Manage enterprise software trials and "Proof of Concept" evaluations
Support regional marketing events and regular regional webcasts
Answer technical questions and provide consultative security & compliance expertise
Requirements:
Ideal Candidate Description:
Tenable is looking for a highly motivated SE able to think on their feet. Applicants should be very technical and hands on with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants should also be very familiar with the sales process and how an SE contributes to sales execution. Scanning experience is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Nessus or other network scanning technologies
- Solid foundational knowledge of TCP/IP and network security concepts
- Experience with Redhat Enterprise Server at the command-line level
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., PCI, FISMA, SOX, NERC)
- Pluses: Bachelor's Degree, 5-7 years of direct SE experience, CISSP
