Dairy Tech Sales Specialist

A highly recognized US Dairy Industry company is seeking a self-motivated individual to lead and expand the current sales offering of nutritional supply products for the Great Lakes Region, through established dealer/distribution network and direct to large Key Accounts.

Qualifications: BS and 7+ years' experience in dairy feed and additives sales as dairy nutritionist or MS and 2+ years' experience in dairy product sales.

The ideal candidate would possess several proven years of dairy nutrition sales and strong understanding of dairy cattle animal health and management as well. A strong drive for success, knowledge base in nutritional supplements and animal health products, various diet formulations and ingredient usages, and practical farm walk-though abilities needed.

MUST have dealer/distribution tech support experience, and need to have excellent written and oral communication skills, be comfortable one on one with producers as well as in front of large meetings giving product presentations, etc. Superior technical knowledge and outstanding people skills are what we are looking for.

This position will be responsible for:

    Selling products and services and tech support for local sales reps
    Identifying and soliciting potential "partnering" arrangements within the marketplace
    Coordinate on farm trials and publish data results for new products
    Deliver new product training to local Great Lakes regional sales force
    Coordinate sales efforts across the region
    Work with local dealers-distributor channels and sales staff to expand sales and product offerings
    Work with industry vets, nutritionists, and other key players to introduce and promote new products throughout the Great Lakes region
