CHS has an exciting opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters. We are searching for a seasoned Lead Financial Analyst to work in our Corporate Accounting Group. The chosen candidate contributes to the corporate financial activities and financial reporting, including SEC reporting, for CHS.

You will:
Participate in the corporate financial activities and financial reporting, including SEC reporting, for CHS Inc.  Contribute to and review quarterly and yearly SEC reporting including statements, footnotes and management discussion and analysis.  Assist in special SEC filings.
Have responsibility for researching and reviewing financial information to ensure accuracy.  Assure that all accounting functions are carried out according to accounting policies and procedures.  Provide accurate and timely financial information for CHS Inc. so that others can make solid business decisions.
Prepare and/or assist with preparation of accounting policies.
Participate in quarterly reviews and year-end audits with external audit teams.
Prepare management’s discussion and analysis for incorporation into the SEC filings.
Support Financial Planning and Analysis forecasting and budgeting initiatives. Provide key assumptions and data needed as input for forecasting/budgeting.  Assist with HSF and other items as requested by the Financial Planning team.
Prioritize and plan work activities, while using time efficiently and developing realistic action plans.
Be proactive, deadline focused and highly organized.  
4 year degree required, Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field of study.
4 years’ experience of progressive responsibility in accounting or finance (public accounting experienced preferred). SEC reporting and/or SOX-related experience in public accounting or industry. 
Experience must include a thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial consolidation of multiple entities, and financial statement presentation and disclosure.
Experience with JD Edwards World general ledger applications and reporting, ERP systems, experience with Hyperion Enterprise a plus, experienced user of Excel spreadsheets.
Strong analytical and research skills, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Exceptional communication skills - both written, verbal and teamwork skills.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, staff, and external firms.
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.

CPA preferred
