Production Facility Manager

A well-recognized seed company is seeking Production Manager to oversee a production facility in South Eastern North. This role leads the entire operation in a highly effective and efficient manner in order to consistently produce high quality seed, and distribute the product on budget and on schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

    Leading, and coaching the managers and teams within the production and operations staff
    Effectively recruiting, hiring, and retaining talented employees
    Employing and managing process improvement projects to constantly optimize the operation for maximum quality and efficiency
    Maintaining a high level of safety through the operation
    Manage and oversee vendor relationships
    Identify and adapt to regional trends in crop production and grower needs
    Lead the operation to exceed business and operational goals
    Continuing to grow and manage relations with the surrounding community

Successful candidates must be able to prove their success in planning, budgeting, and supervising. Experience and success in implementing process improvements in an operation is critical to being considered for this role. Seed industry experience in not important, so qualified candidates can come from manufacturing and processing backgrounds as well.
