Growing feed company seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to keep their eyes on Quality & Food Safety programs while keeping his direct reports focused on improving efficiencies and continuously improving quality at this location on the west coast. The key to success in this role is to take an excellent team with great resources and facilities and help them refine their processes and train/motivate the workforce to accommodate the continuous growth in sales.

OVERVIEW:
Will play a pivotal role in the expansion of the Quality Program
Will take the company through HACCP implementation
Will deal with company's customer base and facilitate customer audits
Will write SOP's for quality and train all personnel in quality
Will comply with all applicable Federal, State & Local agency rules and regulations (FDA, USDA & US Bio-Terrorism)
To be considered for this role:
You will have a BS degree in: Animal Science; Animal Nutrition; Quality Sciences; Engineering or related field.
You will have 7+ years of increasing responsibility in Quality Assurance - preferably in a management role.
An ASQ certification (CQE, CQM) desired
Knowledge of industrial statistics, inspection methods & procedures is expected
Track record of compliance with FDA, USDA and other Federal & State rules & regulations
Successful experience in implementing quality programs: HACCP, SQF etc.
Effective supervisory skills coupled with effective training & development abilities
Exposure to microbiological labs & testing procedures and monitoring.
Excellent communication skills at all levels as well as computer proficient
Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00
