SUMMARY
The Public Policy and Corporate Affairs Intern provides research, data analysis, and general support to strategic initiatives within the PPCA department. Responsibilities include monitoring assigned projects, analyzing rules, regulations and data related to assigned projects. The PPCA Intern works closely with and interacts with multi-disciplined people within POET, and with organizations outside the company’s scope to assist with corporate directives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

College student pursuing, or graduate with BS /BA degree in Environmental Policy preferred.
Relevant analytical experience in biotech, agricultural, fuel and/or chemical industries desired.
Strong analytical capabilities combined with solid strategic thinking, an eye for detail, and strong person to person interactive skills are key requirements.
Experience in environmental policy and legal matters a plus.
Ability to clearly articulate information to a multidisciplinary group of people.
Knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
