SUMMARY:
Supervises a 5000 Sow Farm and personnel

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Personnel Management:
  •     Provide leadership and coaching to all employees that report to this area.
  •     Scheduling and planning weekly activities.
  •     Communicating the daily schedule and plans to employees at the start of every work day.
  •     Maintaining High Herd Health and Bio-security personally and through employees by:
  •     Providing and monitoring proper animal comfort with ventilation and heating management.
  •     Give timely medication and care of sick or injured swine by the approved vaccination program.
  •     Following proper load in, load out procedures and dispose of dead animals daily.
  •     Following Bio-security Downtime Chart and shower thoroughly before entering units.
  •     Maintain Proper Department and Farm appearance
  •     Complete weekly production report and have to production manager by the designated time the following Monday
  •     Resource Management:
  •     Maintain vehicles in good operating condition and notify problems to the Production Manager.

 To be considered for this role:

    Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
    Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Minimum of three years of swine management experience in a sow farm operation with a minimum of 4000 head of sows.

Salary: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00
