Data Analytics Analyst

The general purpose of the Data Analyst is to support both Analytics as well as Inventory Management to provide expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and analyze data and report results. This role focuses on cross platform data for the support of inventory ad optimization and the analytics business team. The position will primairly support the database management of inventory through multiple sysytems (SalesForce, AdFront, DFP, etc). Additionally, this person supports capacity understanding and reporting.

This role will also work very closely with the Manager of Business Analytics to facilitate reporting from multiple analytic platforms such as Omniture, Google Analytics, and Social media platforms. The primary focus will be across the USAT TODAY Sports sites performance as well as broad social media aspects across all of Sports Media Groups properties.  

This role requires someone with an interest or breadth of experience in Analytics an/or ad serving capabilities as well as a strong work ethic and analytical curiosity. 
Essential Job Functions:
•Provide key stakeholders (Inventory Mngt & Analytics) with actionable insights regarding digital ad performance, web trends and user behavior.
•Provide analysisof digital ad products via the SalesForce, AdFront, and DFP platforms across all Sports Media Group properties - with a focus on the Owned & Operated properties.
•Analyze and problem solve issues w/ current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of advertising or analytic data.
•Help outline, build, and maintain a Sports Digital Properties impression dashboard for proper Sales performance analysis. Add to this dashboard as additional properties are built and developed.
•Liaise w/ Gannett Digital team to ensure continued proper management of Omniture implementation and ongoing tracking/tagging efforts.
•Position will maintain and report on performance metrics for the High School and Sports Digital Properties businesses.  
Educational Background:
BA or BS in a related field (i.e. information systems, computer science, business, economics, etc)
Skill sets:
Strong Excel skills are a must.
1-2 Years/ data analysis or performance evaluation.
Data driven background in analytic performance analysis or business evaluation.
AdFront, DFP, Omniture, Google Analytics.
This role will be based in NYC.
