Within the USA Today Sports Media Group, the USA TODAY Sports Digital Properties (SDP) was formed to support the vertical focused sports sites in our portfolio by combining assets including Big Lead Sports properties, BNQT’s action sports sites, MMAJunkie.com and the UFC network properties. SDP consists of 13 owned and operated sports sites, 100 exclusively represented digital properties and 200 publisher partner sites. This strategy enables the USA TODAY Sports’ sales team to present a unified collection of premium sports inventory that allows advertisers to engage with sports fans using custom digital executions across display, mobile, video and social media.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Technical Product Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining and archiving documentation specific to SDP technology and platforms, both for current and new initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Write and maintain product requirement documents for all SDP products.
• Work with product team and all product stakeholders to develop and document product scope, concepts, requirements wireframes, business cases, etc.
• Maintain documentation archives and version control.
• Work with technical project manager to create and refine product road maps
Basic requirements and desired qualifications:
• 4-6 years creating product requirement and other technical documentation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with many stakeholders and large teams
• Understanding of digital publishing, specifically with writing documentation around content management systems and native apps
