We are in need of a Chief Process Engineer, EPDM, in the Baton Rouge, LA area. Salary range is 125k depending on experience. Relocation is available.

Our Client Company has been a leader in synthetic rubber manufacturing with world-class production facilities. Position purpose is to provide process, technical and design expertise site.

The successful candidate will have the experience necessary to perform the following functions, among others:

•     Develop & implement process & energy cost reduction improvement opportunities
•     Develop engineering evaluation for new products
•     Develop engineering and cost evaluations for major plant expansions
•     Create recipes for new products in the units
•     Maintain mass & energy balances for the units
•     Prepare engineering calculations for the plant (process & environmental)
•     Develop new products lines with R&D & TSS groups
•     Reduce VOC’s to the atmosphere

Education/Experience

•      Masters’ Degree, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, preferred
•      Related experience:  5-8 years, minimum
•      Must have strong chemical engineering and technical expertise
•      Must have understanding of environmental regulations
•      Must have thorough knowledge of manufacturing facility processes
•      Must have thorough knowledge of PSM process
•      Must have excellent problem-solving skills
•     Must have good computer skills – proficient in excel
•     Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
