Our client is seeking a Systems Analyst in Stuart, FL.
Earn $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience at this full-time, temporary / long term indefinite position.
HOURS
Work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
MAJOR FUNCTION:
Professional and technical work in the planning, design, analysis, implementation, integration,
management and support of client/server, mission critical, application systems implemented using relational database management systems. Reports to the Data Administrator.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Work with business function managers, users and ISD staff to develop business requirements and analyze/model current and proposed information and business process flows.
- Develop system designs including functional specifications, design specifications and product deliverables related to projects and assist in post implementation support and enhancement of systems.
- Assist in architectural design of systems and new technologies. Use project management skills to assure on-time delivery of solutions.
- Assist in the re-engineering of system and business related processes.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of all production and nonproduction relational databases
- including operations administration, security administration, object administration, space management and server installation.
- Monitor systems for resource utilization and provide ongoing trend analysis for determining current need and forecasting future resource requirements.
- Provide recommendations for upgrade paths based on business trends and business processing requirements.
- Assist in the development of standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures for the relational database systems.
- Perform system reporting and query development, develop system documentation, performs on-call
- systems maintenance, systems migration, arranges or provides training for system users.
- Designs and codes programs; evaluates, debugs, documents and implements purchased programs.
- Provides written and oral reports of activities to management, users and consultants; participates in post-implementation reviews, revisions and acceptance decisions.
- Performs work related to this job description as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of conventional computer system designs and relational database management system software such as ORACLE and other SQL databases
- Knowledge of UNIX systems such as SUN or Hewlett Packard and their operating systems environment
- Knowledge of general financial systems and accounting practices, payroll and human resources, accounts receivable and government business processes
- Experience in client/server systems, SQL, GUI design and other programming tools. Knowledge of web
- servers, ORACLE database systems and development tools such as Developer, Designer, Discoverer,
- Forms, Reports, etc., a plus
- Skill in analyzing end-user problems and identifying solutions; skill in the use of computers with
- emphasis on client/server architectures
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to maintain effective working
- relationships; ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment; ability to document system, uses and programs; ability to adapt to a dynamic team environment
MINIMUM OUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Physical Science, Engineering or related area and six (6) years of experience with a wide variety of computer platforms and relational data base management systems or a Master's Degree and four (4) years of experience
A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
