We are in need of a Reliability Engineer, in the Baton Rouge, LA area. Salary range is 80k depending on experience. Relocation is available.

Our Client Company has been a leader in synthetic rubber manufacturing with world-class production facilities.
Position Purpose:
 Provide programs, projects and support to improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs and foster continuous improvements. This will include optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and identification and correction of long standing maintenance issues.

The successful candidate will have the experience necessary to perform the following functions, among others:

l Track reliability cost drivers and implement programs to increase equipment availability.

l Providing support for maintenance troubleshooting.

l Establishing preventative and predictive maintenance programs in each of these operations.

l Identifying leading edge maintenance technology that improves performance.

l Assisting in the development of maintenance personnel training procedures.

l Identifying, engineering and implementing projects/programs in operations to increase productivity, reduce downtime and improve quality.

l Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for high value asset failures.

l Develop Failure Defense Plan based on equipment criticality rating

l Oversee lubrication program and drive system improvements

Education/Experience
l Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 3+ years of related engineering experience

l Experience with rotating equipment

l Basic understanding of general process equipment (valves, pumps, etc.)

l Technical knowledge in reliability centered tools and processes such as: FMEA, RCM and Root Cause Analysis; knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, and ASTM industry standards

l Experience with predictive maintenance tools including: oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography and ultrasonic a plus

l Strong computer skills including MS Office; SAP knowledge a plus; RCA
