We are in need of a Test Engineer, in either the Siloam Springs, AR or Rochester Hills, MI area. Salary range is 70-80k depending on experience.

Our Client is a global diversified industrial company that provides advanced power transmission and fluid transfer solutions by engineering products and services that reduce the total cost of ownership for a wide variety of applications. 

POSITION SUMMARY: 
 Applies testing to support development and validation of power transmission products.  Develops test techniques and analyzes test results to make recommendations to product development and customers.  Actively participates in development, implementation and continuous improvement of the quality system as it relates to product development and testing for customer programs.

The successful candidate will have the experience necessary to perform the following functions, among others:

· Responsible for the design and development of test equipment, methods, procedures, and modification of equipment and instrumentation.               

·Responsible for writing and execution of development and validation test plans providing repeatable, accurate, relevant and timely test data and information.

·Responsible for the efficient usage of test resources, which could also include supervision of lab personnel.

·Develop test techniques, analyze results, write test reports complete with conclusions and recommendations to affected stakeholders and participate in design reviews.

·Identifies and communicates testing non-conformances and recommends and implements corrective actions.

· Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical required; Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

· Knowledge of instrumentation, measuring systems and equipment specifications.

· Mechanical aptitude, solid understanding of dynamics, power transmission components and applications (metals, polymers, plastics and composites).

· Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), failure mode testing and the development process.

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Project, Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) and other ERP systems, such as Oracle.

· Familiarity with CAD design tools with a proficiency at reading and understanding basic mechanical drawings.
·must be able to work in R&D, testing or manufacturing environment.
·Travel of approximately 25% may be required.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
