National Account Manager Trainee - Quincy, IL
ADM Alliance Nutrition, Inc. - a fully-owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company and national manufacturer of livestock feed with over 40 locations in North America is seeking an ambitious, sales-minded professional for a National Account Manager Trainee opening. 
This position will provide the individual with the training necessary to be a successful National Account Manager with a sales territory in the U.S. Examples of the work performed in this role, include:
Product marketing with new accounts, cold calls to customer groups, ADM proprietary products marketing, and information on company and other products to new accounts.
Customer service, to include: order taking, order entering and processing; handling initial customer complaints; product returns, credit and debit memos; provide product and pricing information as requested; order follow-up; delivery scheduling; product shortages; pricing changes; monitor accounts receivable; setting up new accounts; generate reports for customer history and product sales information; communicate market trends and supply issues; supply MSDS forms, spec sheets, product tags and labels as necessary; investigate and resolve all shipping, pricing and order entry errors.
Travel with current National Account Managers to assigned accounts to develop necessary sales communication skills, product knowledge, industry awareness, sales job requirements and demands to begin to understand territory management requirements and responsibilities.
Spend time with Product Managers and technical support staff, Purchasing/Pricing/Formulations department, and at the Premix Business Unit production facilities to gain basic knowledge of the business.


Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor's degree (in Agriculture or Ag-related field preferred)
Superior verbal and written communications, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritized work load.
Strong computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office applications (Oracle highly preferred).
Effective presentation and sales skills.
Travel 60-80% of the time when promoted to sales role and must be willing to relocate to an assigned territory.

Relocation assistance will be provided.  The individual will be required to move to our division headquarters in Quincy, IL for the training program until moved to a sales territory.  This position offers a complete benefit package, including 401K/ESOP, pension, health, life, vision, and dental insurance.
