The purpose of a Garage Mechanic ?B? is to properly service, repair and maintain equipment operated by the company in compliance with OEM specifications and DOT regulations.
Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
Must be able to read and write and follow manufacturer?s manuals on maintenance, repairs and overhaul procedures.
Must possess own personal hand tools and tool storage box.
Must be able to perform assigned tasks efficiently with minimum supervision.
Must be capable of providing ?hand on? training, direction and supervision to level C,D,and E mechanics in properly servicing, repairing and maintaining the equipment operated by the company.
Must be proficient in at least 8 of the following areas:
Cooling System – Maintenance and repairs
Intake System ? Maintenance and repairs
Exhaust System ? Maintenance and repairs
Lubrication System ? Maintenance and repairs
Electrical Systems ? Maintenance and repairs
Brake Systems ? Air and Hydraulic ? S Cam, Wedge and Disc ? Maintenance and repairs
Suspension ? Air and Spring ? Maintenance and repairs
Front End and Alignment ? Maintenance and repairs
Wheels, Rims, Hubs, and Tires ? Maintenance and repairs
Power Train components ? Engine, Clutch, Transmission ? Repairs and overhaul Drive line and Joints and Differential ? Repairs and overhaul
Welding ? Oxygen and Acetlylene Aluminum
Cab, Body, and Frame repairs
Air Conditioning Systems ? Maintenance and repairs
Refrigeration System ? Maintenance and repairs
Hydraulics ? maintenance and repairs
Preventive Maintenance ? All equipment in compliance with schedules
Trouble Shooting and diagnose needed repairs from driver write ups
Qualified Driver ? CDL License. Proficiency will be determined by Garage Management

At least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Strong work history, work for one employer for at least 1 year in the past three years.
Willing and able to stand for several hours.
Willing and able to work in wet and extreme cold and hot conditions.
Willing and able work around dust, feathers, animals, and various cleaning chemicals.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED with good Reading, Writing and Analytical skills.
Must possess knowledge of hydraulic, electrical systems and properly service, repair, and maintain equipment operated by the company as determined necessary by the garage management team.
Must have 3 years of prior and related experience with Diesel engines.
