QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Degree or equivalent experience.

Must have Excellent Communication skills and excellent analysis and problem solving skills.

Ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in the ag transportation industry as a driver, dispatcher or in a management capacity.
Must be successful manager of employees in a rapidly changing environment.
Must have ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Must have the ability to cold call.
Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
Must be able to construct a meeting agenda.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver qualifications helpful.
Experience with price negotiating, freight rates and project bidding.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a Nebraska agri-business in their search for a Dispatch Manager. This position will play a key role in building the business through significant growth and setting an example of customer service excellence. Lead the Dispatch team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Responsible for designating and coordinating tasks of dispatchers. Responsible for coordinating movement of equipment. Assign drivers to equipment and loads to maximize the best use of drivers and equipment. Assign specific dispatch times. Verify load information from drivers. Track progress of drivers throughout the day. General office responsibilities, Customer Service, Driver designation. Must be able to answer calls on some evenings and weekends as part of a rotation schedule.
