FORKLIFT OPERATOR NEEDED!!

Come to work for the nation's leading beet sugar producer in a hands-on, equipment oriented environment in our Crookston, MN factory.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a HS Diploma or GED, pass entrance testing requirements, pre-employment drug test and criminal background check. Qualified candidates will have previous forklift experience, be able to obtain an ACSC forklift permit, and demonstrate the ability to operate a forklift without product damage while handling product. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively to fill orders and complete forklift reports, accurately fill out associated paperwork for confirmation purposes, lift up to 50lbs, have a good work ethic, and good communication skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

? All forklift operation is in a fast paced, food grade warehouse environment, and ADC (automated data collection) is used to accurately mark and inventory product. The operator prepares and applies labels to product.

? Responsible for the transport, storage, retrieval and loading of pallets, packaged sugar and packaging materials.

? Inspects forklift prior to operating and completes inspection form.

? Changes and recharges electric forklift batteries according to SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).

? Removes packaged product from the packaging lines and stores in appropriate warehouse located or in trucks or rail cars.

? Transports packaging material to the packaging lines from warehouse.

? Loads the correct product into trailers and rail cars for shipment with no damage to product.

? Unloads raw materials and product from trucks and rail cars and places in appropriate warehouse location. Accurately documents incoming materials for auditing compliance.

? Mathematically calculates the safe load capacity of the forklift.

? Operates forklifts in a safe manner.

? Cleans up any spills made, restacks pallets of sugar as necessary, and maintains the warehouse storage plan as directed. This will require the ability to lift up to 50# occasionally without assistance.

? Knows and understands current Good Manufacturing Practices as they apply to handling and storage of food product.

? Performs other duties as assigned.

? Works overtime as required.

? Must obtain forklift certification; prior experience in operating a forklift is required.

? Able to demonstrate the ability to operate a forklift without product damage while handling product to storage, retrieval, and loading cars and trucks in a fast paced, food grade warehouse environment.

? Able to demonstrate the ability to operate a forklift in production areas heavily populated with pedestrians.

? Able to demonstrate the ability to operate finished pallet wrapping equipment without production interruption.

? Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English in order to fill orders and complete forklift reports. Able to read labels and numbers and follow both written and verbal instructions.

? Able to mathematically calculate loads.

? Able to inspect forklift as required and complete inspection form.

? Valid driver's license is required.

? Must be a team player and demonstrate initiative.

? Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
