Overview:
Manage a full-service commercial grain operation with responsibility for both commercial and operational activities with an emphasis on operations.Essential FunctionsCommercial Responsibilities:

    Originate grain at acceptable historical/budgeted levels
    Grain Merchandising
    Plant logistics
    Maintain and expand the customer base
    Producer communication
    Experience with accounting functions including but not limited to: inputting contracts, contract/ticket applications, customer reports, daily activity reports, and month end accounting

Operational Responsibilities:
    Oversee repairs and preventative maintenance
    Work outdoors in the elevator
    Grain grading
    Inventory management
    Truck and barge loading/unloading
    Procure safety and maintenance supplies
    Assembly of numbers for B-392 projects

Management Responsibilities:
    Manage business plan according to pre-set objectives
    Manage safety improvement and yearly safety reviews
    Training and educating all personnel on-site including safety
    Monitor and maintain plant safety inspection programs and records- maintain black box of safety files
    Employee relations
    Employee supervision
    Administrate the corporate safety program
    Observe employee’s safety practices and sanctions of same

    Bachelor's degree in agricultural economics, agricultural business, business or related discipline required
    Two to three years prior experience in production agriculture is desirable
    Comfortable working safely in high places and over water
    Demonstrated organization and planning capabilities
    Demonstrated analytical aptitude and interest
    Good verbal and written communication skills
    Travel: approximately 10% or less
    Standard schedule but flexible due to changing business demands
