SUMMARY
Research Scientists I lead research on assigned projects and provide cross functional teams with technical analyses and recommendations. This position is also responsible for developing research plans for projects and serve as Principle investigators on projects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES

To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Specific knowledge in research area.
General familiarity and understanding with scientific literature in research-specific and related areas.
Proficiency with statistical software packages.
Proficiency in task-specific software.
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related science is required with a minimum of six (6) to eleven (11) years of prior laboratory experience. OR a Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related science with four (4) to nine (9) years of prior laboratory experience. OR a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related science with up to two (2) years of prior laboratory experience.
Expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
