The Company is seeking organized individuals capable of meeting deadlines, and dedicated to work as Leads in the Tray Pack department. The job includes, but is not limited to assisting the supervisor in directing and assigning tasks, training new employees,
and taking charge of the department in the supervisor's absence. Must be able to understand and perform job functions pertaining to Tray Pack: weighing and pricing. Position also includes all duties pertaining to production: packaging, stacking boxes, weighing
and labeling product. Requires experience in the use of the electric pallet jack and forklift. Employee shall participate in the Company's safety program as well as short and long term goals of the department. The ability to work as an extension of the equipment
is essential. Attendance is an essential function of this job.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
Assist the supervisor in directing the workload.
Perform production duties: lift, push, pull, carry boxes containing poultry weighing 10-80 pounds, label, seal bags, and stack boxes.
Use electric pallet jack and forklift to move product.
Requires repetitive use of arms, hands, and wrists.
Maintain your work area clean and safe.
Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Participate in the department and Company safety program.
Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Ensure conformity with Company policies, production standards, and security.
SSOP/ HACCP/ monitor temperature.

Education and/or Experience:
High school education not required but beneficial.
Experience in the use of the electric pallet jack and forklift.
Must be able to read and comprehend product identification labels in English.

Language Skills:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful but is not required. Must be able to read and write English.

Reasoning Ability:
Use precision in following the supervisor?s instructions. Make decisions while considering a variety of variables.

Physical Demands:
Ability to remain standing throughout entire shift, and use hands, wrists and arms repetitively. Be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 80 pounds repetitively through a complete shift.

Special information:
This position is under the collective bargaining unit of the UFCW. Required 90-day probation period. Excellent medical benefits available. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Environment:
The work environment is wet, cold and noisy. The level of noise varies from moderate to extreme. Ear protection is provided.
