Communication Center Operator – Decatur, ILADM Corporate SecurityThis is a Part Time position
The ADM Communication Center is a division of Corporate Security that operates as a 24/7 point of contact for ADM colleagues worldwide. The operators are responsible for handling a myriad of calls in addition to providing other services assigned to the center.
The operator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
(1) Process calls by gathering information, asking questions, documenting responses
 (2) process and dispatch on calls for emergency services and / or security response;
(3) monitor multiple alarm systems and respond to panic, burglary and fire activations at locations nationwide;
 (4) maintain documentation on incident information using the iTrak System
 (5) field or refer calls for non-emergency and general assistance.

The successful candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills as well as customer service skills. They must have a motivated personality, work well in a team environment and have a willingness to take initiative. In addition; the ability to multi-task, maintain a calm demeanor during stressful / emergency situations and remain alert throughout the duration of their shift is necessary.
The successful candidate must be able to hear and speak clearly in order to effectively communicate in person, by phone or via radio.
This position requires sitting for prolonged periods of time, extensive computer, phone and radio use, standing, bending and kneeling.
Basic computer and keyboarding knowledge with experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required.
