Cargill Feed Nutrition (CFN) is the global leader in providing animal nutritional solutions, with 9500 employees in 24 countries. The CFN Finance Department is seeking a Professional with a passion to be an effective business partner and a financial steward. This position interacts daily with our Managing Directors, Operations Managers, Credit Managers, Plant Managers, Business Controllers along with their finance colleagues to support our US businesses.
The position may be located in CAN's Global Headquarters at Excelsior Crossings, Hopkins, MN or CFN US location in Kansas City, KS
Principal Accountabilities:
60% Business partner to the CAN location Leadership Teams for approximately 8 plant locations. Collaborate with the businesses to add value to our locations and the customers we serve. Assist in the strategic decision making process by providing business and financial expertise. Responsible for completion of month end processes.
15% Implement and monitor internal controls in alignment with the Corporation and BU. Champion internal control environment. Active participation in our mini-audit program.
10% Develop and implement process improvements within financial job family activities.
10% Assist w/ analysis and management of credit risk.
5% Active participation in various BU initiatives and other duties as assigned
Required:
- 4-year degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience, with at least one year of operations accounting.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business partnering skills
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal control
- Self motivated
- Good problem solving and analytic skills
- Ability to travel approximately 20% domestically
- Proficient in MS office, especially excel
