AGRONOMY SALES- West Central Ohio (New Weston Area)
Job Description:
The Agronomy Salespersons' responsibilities involve marketing, profitability and sales, reporting, purchasing, resale pricing, inventory, service, maintenance, and other duties as assigned by the General Manager. A strong background in agronomy is required and a background in animal agriculture is helpful.
The Agronomy Salesperson will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative. Key duties will include Agronomy Sales to include all ag inputs: seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, and services (Precision Ag, Custom Application, etc.). NOTE: employee will be expected to be out on the road, actively selling about 90% of the time (company will provide a laptiop, company vehicle, air cards, etc.).
Marketing:
Marketing involves developing and implementing an annual marketing plan, directing customer marketing activities for your territory, and developing an annual sales and promotion program. Key focus is to partner with growers and customers, helping to bring them value. May also do some mentoring of newer hires right out of college.
Qualifications:
Candidate Requirements/Education/Experience: An Ag/Business four-year college degree is preferred but is not an absolute requirement (based on the candidate's other Ag experience). Ideal candidates will have at least FIVE years' prior Ag Sales (inputs) experience. Good computer skills, communication, and customer service focus is also required.

- Actively work to increase personal skills and product knowledge/complete Training as needed uphold all company policies
- Inform all customers of safe product handling
- Compensation: This position will pay a combination of a very competitive base salary/sales incentives/bonuses, company benefits including medical insurance, etc.
- Candidates must currently live in west-central Ohio or be willing to relocate there--note: there may be some flexibility as to where the new hire lives/must be within the company's customer territory.
